KG CURRICULUM (Montessori KG Method):

The Montessori educational system develops the child’s knowledge and skills in every way and it’s a two years program. The areas of development are:

  • Decimal system (1-9999)

  • Experiments about Water, air and light.
  • Learn more about heat, magnets and electricity.

Grades (1-12)

Curriculum Overview (Grades 1-12)

Curriculum standards are based on the American Education standards and Jordanian standards applied by Ministry of education; which prepare students to all international programs (IB, IGCSE and The American program). UCA provides a vertically and horizontally aligned curriculum from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

 The elementary school curriculum aims for the development of knowledge, skills, and understanding in the areas ofArabic, Religion, language arts, Social Science, Mathematics, Science, Art, Music, Foreign Language, Arabic, and Physical Education. Students remain in self-contained classrooms with their homeroom teacher for core subjects. Specialist instructors teach Art, Music, Foreign Language, Arabic, and Physical Education. Arabic and Religionare offered to elementary students in grades 1 through 3 as an important part of the regular school curriculum.Subject-area teachers provide instruction in all academic areas for grades 4 and 5. Classes follow a 45-minute schedule, meeting on daily basis.

The middle school program (grades 6 through 8) at UCA is characterized by personal attention, a strong academic core, along with personal advocacy for each student. Subject-area teachers provide instruction in all academic areas. Classes follow a 45-minute schedule, meeting daily from Sunday through Thursday. Physical education, Art Education, Music and Vocational are required courses.

In high school, the students in grades 9 through 12 follow a college preparatory curriculum designed to prepare our students for higher education in the United States, Canada, the UK, Jordan, and other countries. In developing a four-year plan for high school, a student should begin with a realistic assessment of his/her strengths, needs and goals.


This plan is developed by the student in conjunction with his/her parents, counselor, teachers and administration. Students in grades 9 and 12 follow a college preparatory curriculum based on American Standards or British Standards, pursuing IGCSE program or American High School Diploma.

Courses Of Arabic, Religion, English literature, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physical and Biological Sciences, Social Studies (world history and US History), Foreign Language,  PE, Art and vocational are offered. In grades eleven and twelve students have several options for required subjects, including Elective courses in different subject areas. In addition to core subjects, World languages, Arts and Technology courses are offered. All high school students are required to fulfill school Graduation requirements.
